Good Book

For all my fellow book nerds out there...

If you are into history, especially military history, or if you just want a good old American read, pick up Flags of Our Fathers. It's written by the son of one of the Iwo Jima flagraisers and tells the story of the six Marines that raised the flag on Sirubachi, their lives before and after. It also gives a great account of the battle for Iwo Jima. Quick read, good read.

  1. I read the condensed Readers Digest version and saw the movie. It was awesome! I also watched Letters From Iwo, the companion movie by Clint Eastwood and it was also awesome. The entire movie is in Japanese, though, with English subtitles. That didn't bother me, but I had to read the subtitles for my grandson since his reading skills prohibited him from keeping up with the pace.

    Take care, Jake.

  2. Really very happy to say, your post is very interesting to read. I never stop myself to say something about it. ‘I’m car buyer Melbourne a specialist sell and buy car removal agency in Melbourne, Victoria". Not sure if this is the kind of service you need? Do some research on line and you will find hundreds of online car buyers, who are happy to sell their used cars in Melbourne, Victoria at any time of the year.
