This blog exists only as an archive. It is a journal that serves as a window into my life as a Marine combat veteran serving in Iraq and Afghanistan; it was written with no filter, no politics and no agenda. Please feel free to follow my journey from beginning to end. Welcome to my life.

Address Change

Jake has informed me that the address that was formerly on the site was not the most efficient way to get mail and packages (anything already sent will eventually get there.) please note the change.

One of Jake's friends.

  2. Great going, Marines (the newspapers are reporting about the great job you are doing in the 'Stan)

  3. Send word on your available infrastructure (micro waves, electrical hook ups, etc ) when you get settled in. Helps to know what to send if we know what you have available to work with.

Also, I've run across mention by both 10th Mtn Div soldiers and others that the altitude, terrain and temp swings tend to make it hard to keep sufficient calorie intake to prevent drastic weight loss.

So, if you have a preference for a high calorie, light weight, low volume (easy to carry in a pack and eat in the field) food, let us know.

    Head on a swivel, Marine.
    Semper Fi.
